Accessibility
We want every family to be able to read this site and send an enquiry, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
What we have built in
This website was built with the following in mind:
- Semantic headings, landmarks and a skip-to-content link
- Keyboard access to every navigation item, link, form field and button, with visible focus styles
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful photographs
- Form labels, hints and error messages that are announced to screen readers
- Colour contrast that aims to meet WCAG 2.1 AA for text and interface elements
- Touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones
- Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion setting, which turns off entrance animations
- No autoplaying video or audio
Our target
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a finished state, and we review the site as it grows.
Known limitations
Any video added later will include captions before it is published. We continue to review new pages and interactions as the site grows.
