Program
1 on 1 Basketball Training Built Around the Athlete
Private basketball training is where detail lives. This one-on-one basketball coaching develops shooting, ball handling, footwork, finishing, decision-making, and basketball IQ. When shooting is a development priority, sessions can address mechanics, footwork, shot preparation and game-speed decision-making. There is nowhere to hide a habit, and nowhere to hide the work. Every session is shaped around the athlete in front of us — their position, their pace, their confidence, and the gap between where they are and where they want to play.

Who it is for
Who this fits
- Middle-school and high-school athletes who want focused reps without waiting their turn
- Players returning to full training who need to rebuild rhythm and confidence
- College and professional players preparing for a season, a tryout, or a return to competition
- Athletes whose team practice does not give them time on their individual weaknesses
What we work on
The work
- Footwork, balance and body control at game speed
- Finishing over, around and through contact
- Shooting mechanics, range progression and shot preparation
- Ball handling under pressure and with a live defender
- Reading coverages, pace and decision-making
- Position-specific responsibilities and basketball IQ
A session may include
Inside a session
- 01Movement preparation appropriate to the athlete's age and training age
- 02Skill blocks tied to the priorities set in evaluation
- 03Constraint and live work so skill has to hold up under pressure
- 04Shooting under fatigue and decision reps that require a read
- 05A short debrief on what improved and what carries into the next session
How development is approached
The approach
We evaluate before we prescribe. The first sessions are used to understand movement, skill level, habits and goals, and the plan is adjusted as the athlete changes. There is no fixed curriculum handed out before we have watched an athlete play.
Purpose before volume
Every rep has a reason, every progression is earned, and every plan changes as the athlete develops.
Locations & availability
Where this happens
Availability, format, and the best next step are confirmed after inquiry. Sessions may use gym space in Everett or Mukilteo, and athletes also travel from Lynnwood and West Seattle. The exact location and time are confirmed directly.
Hard Earned Hoops does not own a training facility. It partners with the Everett Boys & Girls Club only; other facilities and service areas do not imply a partnership.
Questions
Common questions
- What does a private basketball session focus on?
- It depends on their season, school schedule, team commitments and recovery. We talk through a realistic rhythm during your inquiry conversation rather than pushing a set number of sessions.
- Do you work with beginners?
- Yes. Individual sessions suit newer players well, because the pace, language and expectations can be set exactly where the athlete is.
- Can parents watch?
- Yes. We ask that families let the session belong to the athlete and the coach, and we are happy to talk through what we saw afterwards.
