Program

Speed, Strength, Power, and Movement for Basketball

Skill needs a body that can express it. Athletic performance at Hard Earned Hoops develops the speed, strength, power and coordination that let an athlete play the way they train — and keep playing as the season goes on.

Who it is for

Who this fits

  • Basketball athletes who feel a step slow or physically overmatched
  • Growing athletes who need to build strength and coordination safely
  • High-school and college players preparing for the demands of a season
  • Athletes training alongside their basketball work who want the two to fit together

What we work on

The work

  • Acceleration, top speed and change of direction
  • Jumping ability and landing mechanics
  • Strength and power development appropriate to training age
  • Coordination, rhythm and body control
  • Physical confidence and resilience across a season

A session may include

Inside a session

  1. 01Movement preparation and technical warm-up
  2. 02Sprint, jump or plyometric work coached for quality
  3. 03Strength work loaded to the individual
  4. 04Accessory and control work as needed
  5. 05Coaching cues the athlete can repeat on their own

How development is approached

The approach

Programming is individualized and evidence-informed. Youth sessions are age-appropriate, technically led and supervised throughout. We do not promise injury prevention, provide medical rehabilitation, or guarantee vertical or speed gains — we coach the work that gives an athlete the best chance of physical progress.

Purpose before volume

Every rep has a reason, every progression is earned, and every plan changes as the athlete develops.

Locations & availability

Where this happens

Availability, format, and the best next step are confirmed after inquiry. Sessions may use gym space in Everett or Mukilteo, and athletes also travel from Lynnwood and West Seattle. The exact location and time are confirmed directly.

Hard Earned Hoops does not own a training facility. It partners with the Everett Boys & Girls Club only; other facilities and service areas do not imply a partnership.

Questions

Common questions

Is my child too young for strength work?
Age-appropriate strength and coordination work is generally suitable for young athletes when it is supervised and technically led. We start with control and quality rather than load.
Can performance work run alongside basketball training?
Yes, and it usually should. We plan the combination with the athlete's season, school and recovery in mind.
Do you treat injuries?
No. Hard Earned Hoops does not provide medical care or rehabilitation. Please work with a qualified healthcare professional for injury assessment or treatment.
